Towards the assessee, the income tax department has commenced the offline facility to fill ITR-1 and 4 forms of taxpayers in FY 2020-21. The offline facility is open on the e-filing portal. This new technology is upon the grounds of JSON (Javascript Object Notation). For saving the information this is a simple format. JSON permits the utility assessee to import and prefill the information via an e-filing portal. Offline services can be downloaded on a computer in win 7 or more. The council gives the details for filing declaring that "The offline facility is just for ITR-1 and ITR-4 the other ITRs will be added later. "
ITR Form-1 (Sahaj) and ITR Form-4 (Sugam) are easier formats that are utilized by the small income taxpayers in the bigger number. The Sahej form can be filed by those whose yearly income exceeds Rs 50 lakh and their same income is from the salary, property with one house / other sources (interest, etc.). ITR-4 could furnish those Hindu undivided families and companies whose total income is Rs 50 lakh and those whose income comes from the business or profession. Neha Malhotra directed that the new facility is easier for filing the tax returns and this will build it simpler for the assessee. He said that "Help has been provided through these Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)". Also, the guidance note, circular, and provisions of the law are also mentioned so that the taxpayer can file the ITR 1 (Sahaj) or ITR-4 without any problem. Compliance levels will increase as tax returns increase and barriers are eliminated.”
